GENO WASHINGTON
corrupts Cheltenham

Picture of GENO WASHINGTON smiling

On Thursday 22nd October 1998 I went to see GENO WASHINGTON who was performing at The Town Hall, Cheltenham. As I did not know much of his music I was a bit apprehensive but I had no need to be.

During the performance he would introduce some of the songs by saying "that he wrote this song whilst he was kidnapped", of course he meant this as a joke. After each song he would say "What's in the Pot", at the time I found this a bit irritating, but after the show I realised he was referring to his latest album of covers.

The track I enjoyed the most was "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU", needless to say I enjoyed the concert very much.

One disappointing thing is that I could not buy a copy of the covers album "WHAT'S IN THE POT" as one person bought all ten copies they had on the merchandise stall.
